Pankaj, pawar resurrect Mumbai innings against Assam

Bangalore, Dec 11 (UNI) Pankaj Jaiswal (81) and Kastub Pawar (56 batting) joined together to guide Mumbai to 273 for 8 in their first innings on the opening day of the under-19 tournament Cooch Behar trophy here today.

Put into bat Mumbai Rahul Tondular (31) and Rohan Karekar (37) made good starts but failed to sustain. But later, Pankaj and Pawar took the team to a respectable score. Sarupam Purkyastha took four for 96 Assam.

In the other match, Haryana made 263 for 7 after they were asked to bat first by Himachal Pradesh. Yajuvendra Chahal scored an unbeaten 89 for Haryana. Sahib Malhotra and Ajay Rana took three wickets each for HP.
