Madonna’s full-frontal pic may fetch $10k at Christie’’s

A nude picture of Madonna taken in 1979, which was later published in Playboy, is set to go under the hammer. The full-frontal photograph of the Material Girl will be put up for sale at Christie’’s auction house in New York on February 12.

Matthieu Humery, head of Christie’’s photography department, said the picture was taken when Madonna was a financially strapped 20-year-old dancer.

In need for money, the ‘Queen Of Pop’ responded to photographer Lee Friedlander’’s newspaper ad seeking a nude model.

While Playboy published six photos from the shoot in 1985, the one going on sale is “maybe the most explicit one,” said Humery.
