The Twitter team can break out the Dixie cups and pop open a bottle of bottom shelf champagne because the microblogging site has hit 50 million tweets per day. That's up from 5,000 tweets per day in 2007 and 300,000 tweets per day in 2008. Not too shabby, Twitter.
