In a press note, Mary D Khuvung, said if government of India dot not intervene immediately the political unrest and the violence perpetrated on the people may get even worse. In this regard she added the Naga women in New Delhi has convened a peace march. Meanwhile, the Naga Students’ Union Delhi in a press note informed that a ‘sit-in Dharna’ was organized Monday infront of the Prime Minister’s resident, 7 Race course Road New Delhi from 5pm onwards.
The ‘sit-in Dharna’ was organized in protest against the killing and injuring Nagas at Mao Gate on May 6 last by the Manipur Police Commandos. NSUD said appealed to the central government to intervene and take immediate action on the demands (memorandum) that was submitted by the NSUD earlier.
