Kuala Lumpur, Dec 17 : A Malaysian mortuary refused to release the body of a 38-year-old Indonesian man because of a spat between his wives over his burial, a news report said on Wednesday.
Muslam Sukarno, a resident of the northern state of Pahang, died after his car plunged into a ravine on Tuesday morning, the News Straits Times reported.
His current Indonesian wife and former Malaysian wife got into a fight at the mortuary over who was entitled to bury him. To defuse tensions, the hospital authorities refused to release the body after they completed the post-mortem.
District police chief Yahya Otman said the body would not be released until the women reached a solution.
