The Chandigarh boys under-19 fencing team claimed Sabre team gold medal in the 54th National School Games here today. Chandigarh defeated Manipur by 15-12 in the final. Manipur boys were runners-up while Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra were jointly declared third.
Madhya Pradesh girls emerged champions in foil team competitions after beating Chandigarh by 15-12 in the final. Assam and Punjab were joint third.
Mehak Paul gave Chandigarh gold in skating by winning the rink race (quad) for under-19. Neha (Maharashtra) and Anupriya (Punjab) finished second and third, respectively.
In the Under-17 rink race (quad) Batas Ambical(Gujarat) finished first. Swati (Maharashtra) and S. Aslesha (Andhra Pradesh) were second and third, respectively.
