Police vacate ex-UGs protest site

The ongoing agitation by the surrendered militants at Commando Complex, has been dispersed by a team led by S.P. of Police Imphal West today morning around 11.30 a.m.

One of the protesting ex-UG said they will continue their agitations until their demands for induction of the remaining surrenderees to the Manipur Police Dog Squad is fulfilled by the government.

Regarding the humiliation to the surrenderee the Civil Libertising and Human Rights Organisation (CLAHRO) will submit a memorandum to Prime Minister and home minister of India to regain the rights of surrenderee.

H Prem Krishna, General Secretary (CLAHRO) speaking to the media at Irawat Bhawan today said that the government didn’t take up any steps for the surrenderee and neglect the Scheme for Surrender cum rehabilitation for militants.
