New Delhi, Jan 10 : Two persons were detained by the CISF personnel and handed over to the police after they were found sitting in a suspicious manner on railway tracks behind the IGI airport in the wee hours on Saturday.
"During the routine rounds at around 1.10 am CISF personnel found two persons, Sachin and Hemant Malik, sitting on the railway track just outside the exit gate of the airport on Dwarka side," CISF spokesperson said.
"When they (CISF) called them, they started to run towards their car. To stop them, our personnel fire a shot in the air but they entered into their Skoda Octavia car and tried to drive away, two shot were fired at the car's tyre to stop them from fleeing," he said, adding no one was injured.
The spokesperson said the two were handed over to the Palam police.
During interrogation, they said they were planning to consume alcohol near the railway tracks, as it was a secluded places.
